Ion exchange mixer device
Ion-exchange is a technology to remove electrolyte in water by using selection and balancing feature of resin to ions. Columns are respectively loaded cation resins and anion resins, resins contact and exchange with Ca Mg and Na ions in water, only left pure water.
Ultra pure water equipment
Ultra pure water equipment is combination of RO equipment and ion-exchange mixed bed or EDI. Ion-exchange mixed bed, resins working in electrolyte solution, can remove all kinds of cation and anion ions, it’s an irreplaceable way to make ultra pure water. Ion-exchange column contains anion-exchange column and cation-exchange column. When water flowing through ion-exchange column, anion and cation in water exchange with H+ of cation resin and OH- of anion resin, so salt is removed. Different combination of anion/cation column can make higher purity water.
EDI Equipment
EDI(Electrodeionization)is a new pure water and ultra pure water making technology which developed from 1990s. It combines electrodialysis and ion-exchange, uses selectively permeating feature of anion-cation exchange membrane to cation and anion, ion exchange feature of resin, forces ions moving directed under DC electric. Salt in water will be removed. Meanwhile, H+ and OH- from water electrodialysis will regenerate the resins, so no acid or alkali is needed.
Softened Water Equipment
When raw water with hardness ions flow through resins in the exchanging filter, Ca2+,Mg2+ in water are exchanged and absorbed by Na+ in resin, carbonate or noncarbonated in water is lower, hardness is down. This is softened water. When resins absorb too much Ca2+ and Mg2+, we will use salt water to flush resins to regenerate it. Ca2+ and Mg2+ on resins will be replaced by Na+ in salt water and discharged with salt water. Resins are fresh and ready for softening again.
Ultrafiltration equipment
Membrane with bore diameter between 20×10-10m and 1000×10-10m is called UF membrane, that is 0.002-0.1μm while most colloid ≥0.1μm, latex ≥0.5μm, coliform and staphylococcus ≥0.2μm, suspending matter and corpuscule ≥5μm, so the germ, colloid, suspending matter, protein can be filtered off by UF membrane.
